The season of the World Motocross starts from Qatar, on the artificial track built inside Losail International Circuit.
Valentin Guillod debuted in the MXGP class, during these two racing days divided between qualifying heat on Friday and 2 races competed during Saturday night.
The Swiss rider Guillod, riding his Yamaha Kemea Team, raced two difficult manches due to the slippery track, sometimes feeling like he doesn’t find the right fit and adherence with the terrain of the track.
In race 1 he started from the fifteenth position, fighting during all the race, finishing in 14th place.
In race 2 for the second time he started from the rear, challenging with his opponents, trying to bring home valuable points and finishing in twelfth place.
This first round of the season is definitely served to better define his feeling with the bike, trying to find the right setting for the next race in Thailand, where he will, for sure, bring with him the experience in Qatar, and getting ready to face the track of the second round of the World Motocross.
VG92: “It is not the result I expected. I struggled, the track was slippery. I am frustrated as I progress, especially since I know I can do much better. ”
