Under blue skies and the thermometer hitting 28 degrees, qualifying for the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps got underway.

With James Allen in the no30 Duqueine in the provisional pole position, the LMP2 session was interrupted by a red flag with just under six minutes of the session left to run when the no22 United Autosports Oreca of Ben Hanley went off at T11 into the gravel. The no47 COOL Racing of Fred Vesti also went off in a separate incident at Les Combes.

Once the session resumed there was just time for one flying lap and the drivers made the most of it, with Louis Delétraz posting the fastest time with a 2m01.253 to become the fourth different pole sitter in 2024.
