The Winter Series round at Paul Ricard finished in style, as another breathtakingly race was carried out at the French racing track. With the second starting grid being decided by the first race result with top 6 being reversed, Yu Kanamaru (Emilio de Villota Motorsport) made a sensational race start taking no prisioners. After winning the Saturday first race, Kanamaru was able to take the lead after some marvelous overtaking maneuvers as passing Diego Menchaca (Campos Racing) on the outside. John Simonyan (MKTG) was unlucky this time as his car stopped.

Kanamaru led the race for twelve laps but at the end, Alessio Rovera (BVM Racing) and Vítor Baptista (RP Motorsport) passed him for the lead. It is worth mentioning that they both previously overtook Diego Menchaca (Campos Racing) and set quick lap times to close the gap on Kanamaru. The duel between Rovera and Baptista was finally won by the Italian racer crossing the finish line less than one second ahead of his Brazilian rival. Kanamaru stepped on the third step of the podium this time.

Menchaca brought home fourth place, a good reward for his effort today. Guatemala´s Andrés Saravia (RP Motorsport) finished fifth moving from less to more. Tanart Sathienthirakul (Team West-Tec) and Igor Walilko (RP Motorsport) finished 6th and 7th respectively. The top-ten was rounded off by Edi Haxhiu (Corbetta Competizioni), Leonardo Pulcini (DAV Racing) and Alexey Chuklin (Emilio de Villota Motorsport), the Russian making his comeback replacing Eduardo García.
