The fully-electric Formula E car made its first public appearance in Battersea Park today, venue for the London ePrix.
Last month, Wandsworth Council gave planning approval for the London race to be held in the picturesque location and for it to be encompass two separate races – Rounds 10 and 11 – on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June.
The London ePrix will be staged on a specially created 15-turn, 2.92km circuit designed by FE’s London Event Team together with British architect Simon Gibbons.
The Spark-Renault SRT_01E also paid a visit to Wandsworth Town Hall where it was joined by Councillor Ravi Govindia, Leader of Wandsworth Council, Councillor Jonathan Cook, Deputy Leader of Wandsworth Council, CEO of Formula E Alejandro Agag, as well as other council represtnatives.
Alejandro Agag said: “We’re very grateful to Wandsworth Council for their continued support with our London ePrix and for inviting us here today. It was great to see the Formula E car in Battersea Park for the first time, one of 20 that will race there this June.”
