A one-off planned and designed by the Style Centre headed by Lapo Elkann and exclusively handcrafted by Pagani Automobili’s artisans. Huayra Lampo focuses the whole Pagani technology on a unique piece of art, a product of the “Uno di Uno” plan which involves the most particular and tailor-made creations from the studio located in San Cesario Sul Panaro.
14th december – A designer’s job is to satisfy his/her customer by creating a tailor-made outfit. Garage Italia Customs is a customer that Pagani has been closely working with on design, style and materials to create a unique item: the Huayra Lampo. The challenge has been enthusiastically taken up by Pagani studio, with the common task of celebrating the Italian style and the high-technology.
“Working closely to Horacio Pagani and his whole team has been very exciting, during all the stages of the realization of the Lampo. Pagani Automobili represents the excellence of handcrafted car building: an example of style, elegance and technology. All of their cars get the name of a wind. We have chosen Lampo (Lampo is the Italian word for “Lightning”), another powerful element of nature and the prelude to something unexpected and always magically different”. – Lapo Elkann, Creative Director at Garage Italia Customs
The one-off celebrates the exaltation of dynamism and speed with a livery that follows the aerodynamic shapes of the car and intensifies them, playing on color contrasts and taking inspiration from an iconic concept car from the ’50s, the Fiat Turbina. The Style Centre’s designers from Garage Italia Customs then worked together with Horacio Pagani’s team to create an exclusive Huayra, remembering its futuristic style. A blend of different styles and languages in the perfect match between tradition and innovation.
“Working with Garage Italia Customs on this car has been a pleasure. A beautiful and very interesting exercise which allowed us to move away from the shoreline, to dare and to discover always more. Unfortunately the journey is over since the car has been completed and we are here to show it but it would be nice to start over”. – Horacio Pagani, Chief Designer Pagani Automobili
