Konstantin Tereschenko (Campos Racing) earned the pole position for Race 2 at Paul Ricard by setting a pole position time of 1:59.662 in his Dalara F312. Tereschenko, who has collected pole position´s extra point, seems determined to retake drivers´ championship lead, which he grabbed after the inaugural event at Jerez. Anyway it won´t an easy task as Vitor Baptista (RP Motorsport) has taken second spot on the starting grid, 107 thousandths slower, also under two-minute barrier. Damiano Fioravanti (RP Motorsport) will start 3rd alongside Tanart Sathienthirakul (Motul Team West-Tec). Third row start for Alessio Rovera (BVM Racing) and Yu Kanamaru (Emilio de Villota Motorsport), with John Simonyan (RP Motorsport) and Igor Walilko (RP Motorsport) lining up in fourth row and Yarin Stern (Motul Team West-Tec) and Andrés Saravia (RP Motorsport) also in the top-ten.
