The Israeli driver of Team West-Tec took top stop on the timesheets in the Winter Series, ahead of Tereschenko (Campos Racing), Sathienthirakul (Team West-Tec), Kanamaru (Emilio de Villota Motorsport) and Rodrigues Baptista (RP Motorsport)
The Winter Series came to an end at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya with the second day of testing. And Israel´s Yarin Stern has closed out the pre-season tests in style as he was able to set the fastest lap after two days of the Euroformula Open teams on the Catalan track. Stern, clocking a lap time of 1:38.811 early in the morning, was able to beat Yu Kanamaru´s time yesterday – actually, six drivers, including Kanamaru himself improved yesterday´s fastest time-. Besides, Stern was the only driver lapping under the 1:39 mark.
Behind, Konstantin Tereschenko (Campos Racing) has claimed 2nd place, two tenths slower than Stern, and Thailand´s Tanart Sathienthirakul (Team West-Tec) was a brilliant third on the timesheets confirming how positive these tests were for the British squad. Kanamaru was 4th fastest for Emilio de Villota Motorsport and Vítor Rodrigues Baptista (RP Motorsport) rounded off the top five. Leonardo Pulcini and William Barbosa – the Colombian going off track and the second test session today was red-flagged as a result- also performed pretty well finishing sixth and seventh respectively with the cars entered by DAV Racing and BVM Racing respectively. Diego Menchaca (Campos Racing) and RP Motorsport duo, Andrés Saravia and Damiano Fioravanti, also ranked in the top ten.
Spain´s Javier Cobián (BVM Racing) was joined by another youngster from the Iberian Peninsula, Marc González, replacing Michael Dörrbecker at Emilio de Villota Motorsport. Cobián, on his second day in the Winter Series, already lapped in 1:41 and González, at the end of the day, was able to post lap times in 1:43.
