Josh Hook sass zum ersten Mal in seinem Leben auf einem Moto2-Bike,
die ersten Resultate sind sehr positiv.
Zudem ist er kein komplizierter Mensch,
er will möglich viel fahren und ich bin überzeugt,
dass er uns in einer Woche bei sich zu Hause in Phillip Island eine schöne Überraschung bieten könnte.
Natürlich sind wir alle in Gedanken bei Dominique.
Es ist der erste GP, den er seit seinem GP-Einstieg 2006 verpasst.
Wir stehen in ständigem Kontakt mit ihm, wir tauschen Informationen aus,
er ermutigt uns, und er vor allem betreibt er bereits zwei Mal pro Tag ein intensives Aufbautraining.»
Joshua Hook (Technomag Racing Interwetten, 28.):
«Das sind meine ersten Kilometer mit einem Moto2-Bike.
Und es ist etwas ganz anderes als meine sonstige Arbeit, die ich seit drei Jahren bei den Superbikes betreibe.
Ich muss enorm viel lernen, insbesondere warum sich die Front des Motorrads so eigenartig verhält.
Ich bin deshalb bereits kurz ausgerutscht.
Das Team ist fantastisch, alle wollen mir helfen.
Aber das fahrerische Niveau in dieser Klasse ist extrem hoch,
und ohne Erfahrung hast du wenige Chancen, weit nach vorne zu kommen.
Aber in jedem Run werde ich schneller und lerne Neues hinzu.
Ich denke gleichzeitig immer wieder an Dominique,
meinen Kumpel von den 8h von Suzuka – das ist wirklich ein verdammt guter Kerl!»

«Ce sont mes premiers kilomètres avec une Moto2 et c’est bien sûr totalement différent de ce que je fais depuis trois ans en superbike.
J’ai énormément à apprendre, notamment à comprendre pourquoi l’avant réagit de manière assez étrange, ce qui m’a notamment provoqué une petite chute.
Le team est fantastique, tout le monde veut m’aider,
mais je sais que la catégorie est très compétitive, qu’il faut acquérir beaucoup d’expérience.
Je vais continuer de travailler et ce qui est encourageant,
c’est qu’à chacun de mes runs, je progresse.
Je pense bien sûr beaucoup à Dominique, mon complice des 8 Heures de Suzuka,
un sacré bonhomme!»

“I have just did my first laps on a Moto2 bike and it is obviously very different from the superbike that I have been riding for the last three years.
I have so much to learn especially to understand why the front reacts in a strange way, which also resulted in a small crash.
The team is great, everyone wants to help me but I know that this class is very competitive and that one needs a lot of experience.
I am going to continue working and what is encouraging is that I have made a progress in each run.
I am thinking a lot about Dominique, my teammate in the Suzuka 8-hour race.
He is such a good guy.”
