The driver of Emilio de Villota Motorsport has finished on top on the opening Winter Series day at Paul Ricard. Rovera (BVM) and Stern (Team West-Tec) rounded off the top-three
First testing day at Paul Ricard and there was a highly contested battle to finish on top with several drivers, defending different teams colors, involved. Finally Japan´s Yu Kanamaru (Emilio de Villota Motorsport) finished first by scoring a best lap time of 2:00.066 in the third test session. His lap time improved those set by Alessio Rovera (BVM Racing), 2:00.236, and Yarin Stern (Team West-Tec), 2:00.390, in the fourth and in the second sessions respectively. Honorable mentions for Andrés Saravia (RP Motorsport), who was the quickest early in the morning, Leonardo Pulcini (DAV Racing), Henrique Baptista (Campos Racing) or Tanart Sathienthirakul (Team West-Tec), also shining on the French asphalt.
Emilio de Villota Motorsport´s debutant, Eduardo García, performed extremely well throughout the day and even ranked 12th in the second test session.
